Introduction
Do you think you need a million dollars to be free? You do not. You Only Live Once (YOLO). We want to travel the world, meet new people, and enjoy life right now, not when we are 65 years old. Many beginners think investing is too hard or too expensive. But the good news is, you can start your FIRE journey today with just $100. Let me show you how simple it is.
You Do Not Need to Be Rich to Start
Many people think investing is only for rich people in fancy suits. That is wrong. In economics, there is a magic trick called “compound interest.” It means your money makes more money. Even $100 can grow into a lot of money if you give it time. The most important thing is not how much money you have today. The most important thing is to start early.
Step 1: Save Your Coffee Money
As an HR manager, I see people working very hard every day for their salary. But then, they spend that hard-earned money on expensive coffee or things they do not really need. To start your FIRE journey, try to save just $100 this month. You can cook dinner at home or drink the free coffee at your office. Remember our true goal: financial freedom and airplane tickets!
Step 2: Buy Your First US Dividend Stock
Now you have $100. What do you do? You buy a US dividend stock. Imagine you buy a small piece of a famous company, like Coca-Cola. Every time someone buys a drink, the company makes a profit. Because you are an owner, they give you a small part of that profit as cash. This is called a dividend. It is money you make while sleeping or swimming at the beach.
But what if one share of a great company costs more than $100? Do not worry. Today, you can buy “fractional shares”. This means you can buy half or a quarter of a stock with your $100.
Conclusion
You only live once, so let’s make it count. You do not need to wait until you are rich to start your FIRE journey. You just need $100 and a little bit of patience. If you want to know more about my story and why I chose this path, you can read my About Me page.
